The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), recently hosted a workshop to identify steps to further develop hydrogen applications in Nevada. The meeting's organizers invited Principal Consultant Barbara Heydorn to address economic issues at the 20 June 2006 workshop. The multidisciplinary group also examined past roadmapping efforts and issues associated with infrastructure, risks, policies, and transition pathways before examining four potential roadmaps for Nevada.

Recently, SRIC-BI conducted a broad-based benchmarking exercise that included 12 of the world's leading companies in petroleum, chemicals, electronics, consumer products, and pharmaceuticals. The management briefing includes generic excerpts from the study.

SRIC-BI is working closely with SRI International's Artificial Intelligence Center to introduce the latest generation of government-intelligence tools into corporate practice.
In 2001, an early version of the SRI Early Alert System (SEAS) transitioned from a DARPA technology-development project to operations. The tool supports large-scale intelligence efforts involving many users and complicated decision-making processes. SRIC-BI supported SRI in the DARPA project and is currently working with early adopters in the corporate world to use SEAS in technology intelligence and corporate development.
